When it comes to comforting those in need, a dog’s heart is always gentle. Whether it’s other puppies, people or animals of different species, man’s best friend has proven time and time again that he can easily be called best friend. of everyone. Sarge, a 9-year-old German Shepherd, couldn’t be any different.
As a puppy, Sarge was a bit grumpy, biting his toes and chasing his siblings around the house. But that all changed when her mother brought home an orphan chick named Buckwheat that was found lying in the middle of the road.

From the moment Sarge’s mother, Cheryl, introduced Sarge to her newly adopted pony, he seemed to know that was his purpose in life.
Sarge immediately jumped at the opportunity to guide Buckwheat through his life. Sarge is there to provide unlimited hugs, help Buckwheat get on his feet, and even help him gain the confidence to explore on his own.

“Something hit Sarge and he immediately embraced Buckwheat,” says Cheryl. “He wants to be involved in every aspect of Buckwheat care. »

“He took on the role of Buckwheat guard,” she added. “No other dog is allowed near the baby.”
If Buckwheat eats, Sarge will join him. If the little deer was about to take a nap, Sarge would watch carefully. When Buckwheat played and got stronger, Sarge was there to cheer and support him. He happily took care of the baby. As the little elk grew more confident and began to explore the great outdoors, Sarge was his shadow and followed him everywhere, always making sure Buckwheat was never in any ʜᴀʀᴍ. In fact, if Sarrasin felt Sarrasin had gone too far, he would usually bring him back to the safety of the porch.

Thanks to Sarge’s advice, Buckwheat is finally recovered and ready to return to the wild. When that time came, the story of Sarge and Buckwheat became widely known that Cheryl became the go-to person whenever there was an orphan ɪɴᴊᴜʀᴇᴅ or a deer.

While Sarge leaves Sarge, Sarge is willing to help other kittens asking for their help. Drawing from Buckwheat’s experience, Sarge is ready to embark on a mission to help more fawns in the future.
