In an impressive demonstration of strength and going against what society expects, a grandmother of 72 years old has disrupted conventional norms by successfully giving birth to a healthy baby. This challenges the notion that age can hinder the experience of becoming a mother.
A baby boy was born to a 72-year-old grandmother in India, surpassing everyone’s predictions and making her the oldest mother on record.
After many years of attempting to conceive, Daljinder Kaur’s long-awaited desire was fulfilled when she successfully welcomed her own daughter, using in vitro fertilization (IVF) in the state of Haryana, India.
After 46 years of unsuccessful attempts to have a child, Daljinder and her husband finally received medical assistance and successfully conceived their son, Armaan, renewing their hope.
It is now or never — The couple had been unable to afford fertility treatment, but one day, when Daljinder was in her 60s, they made the decision to proceed.
She expressed, “After seeing the advertisement for IVF, we decided to give it a shot since I had a strong desire to have a child of my own.”
Anything is possible!
After undergoing two years and three cycles of IVF treatment at a fertility clinic in Haryana, a baby boy named Armaan was joyfully welcomed into the world. His parents stated that he was born weighing a robust and robust 3.9lbs, displaying an overall healthy condition.
Armaan currently weighs 15lbs, which is a little underweight according to Daljinder, who attributes it to her age.
She mentioned that he is very thin and even the diapers meant for children his age don’t fit him.
There is a chance that he might be feeling this way due to my inadequate feeding. I ceased breastfeeding my child when he turned three months old since my milk production was not progressing effectively.
She mentioned that he continues to be a highly lively and content infant.
She stated that regardless of my location, he will come crawling towards me. I have deep affection for him. He is a friendly child who greets everyone with a smile.
Regrettably, she mentioned that her health has worsened as a result of having a baby. She mentioned that she currently experiences difficulties with her joints and elevated blood pressure.
I have been experiencing a decline in my blood pressure and I easily become fatigued at present. She informed Cover Press Αsia that she has consulted with multiple doctors, but they have only prescribed medications and provided a diet plan.
I have concerns about Armaan’s well-being. She mentioned that she needs to prioritize both her health and taking care of Armaan.
