Navy SEAL bids farewell to his longtime loyal canine companion and cherished friend.

Mike Ritland, a former member of the United States military, A Navy SEAL recently expressed his condolences on Facebook for the loss of a fellow SEAL’s K9 partner who crossed the rainbow bridge.

“Ritland mentioned that today, Mike had to bid farewell to Carlos, after blessing this Earth with his presence for a remarkable 15 years.”

Mike and Carlos have been close friends for a long time, and now that they have both retired, Mike had the opportunity to spend the rest of his life with Carlos. Furthermore, when Carlos submitted his application to become a trainer, Ritland formed a collaboration with him.

“He is surrounded by the flag that Mike always carried with him during each mission, and even though it still had traces of Afghan dirt on it, Ritland explained as he unrolled it.”

As the dogs were about to bid farewell to their current way of life, Mike offered Carlos a steak, which happened to be his most beloved dish, for their final meal.

“Our hearts have become significantly burdened as we struggle with bidding farewell,” Ritland concluded the deeply touching message. “May the winds be favorable and in harmony with the sea, my friend, as we take responsibility from this exact spot.”
