The heartbroken pit bull was abandoned at the shelter.

The family was moving into a new house, and although Blue adored them, they viewed him as a nuisance.

They abandoned the dog at a high-kill shelter. Blue, abandoned by family, teary-eyed and pitiful, saddened all at the shelter.

Shelter staff tried to cheer up Blue, but he seemed inconsolable. Neither pep talks nor favorite meals improved Blues mood.

He rejected affection and solely devoted his mental energy to crying, hoping his family would return for him. But Blue’s family never returned, so healing his broken heart was necessary.

The shelter staff shared his tragic tale on Facebook. They wished for a loving family to truly cherish Blue and give him the love he deserves.

Luckily, Jennifer McKay found the weeping pit bull and answered their prayers.

Blue melted her heart and the ache inside compelled her to assist him. Now, McKay adopted Blue and is doing her best to care for him.

She showers him with love, teaching him to love and trust again. His previous family’s abandonment scars are diminishing with McKay’s support, replaced by love, happiness, and safety.
