A 19-year-old dog at a Sonoma shelter near the end of his life. But the adoptive family found him full of life and knew they had to adopt him.

A 19-year-old dog named Ace was released to a Sonoma shelter near the end of his life. And that’s when the California wildfires broke out.
So he ended up at SPCA over 150 miles with little hope. But Bonnie’s adoptive mother noticed his actions and knew she had to at least get him out of the shelter.
So she offered to take the old dog to her home until she found a permanent home. And within the first few days, Ace became more and more comfortable and began to come out of his shell. After that, he bonded with the other pets in the house!

After that, adoption requests started coming in for Ace.
Bonnie felt a little sad knowing how much she would miss him when he was gone. But it is also because of this that Ace “failed” as an adopted child! Bonnie decided to adopt him for good, and he couldn’t be in a better situation for the rest of his life. 🙂
